Welcome 2011

We spent New Years Eve with Craig's Family.
We played frustrating card games and ate more candy than anybody should be allowed.
It was a good one.

Christmas Morning
Eliza woke up around 7:30.
I went downstairs to make sure Santa came.
(Which is what my parents always did)

He did..... obviously.

She was pretty overwhelmed at first.
But quickly started opening cupboards and playing with her kitchen.

Presents...

This large present labeled To: Eliza, From: Daddy, has been sitting under the tree. I kept asking Craig what enormous thing he had bought her (after we had decided no more gifts since she was getting too many already). Well he wouldn't tell me.
Turns out it was for me.

I finally got my vitamix!
I'm sure he was so sick of me talking about them...reading about them... looking for good deals on them...and dreaming about them...the he finally caved and actually bought one for me.
Thanks babe- you are the best!
(No wonder we decided not to do big gifts for each other... he had already spent our budget on me!)
I just have to say...my husband is too good to be true. I am so lucky!

After presents we headed to my parent's house for Christmas breakfast and gifts.

Another full day of fabulous food and family. I didn't want it to end!

Sunday
Craig's parents were up north with the rest of the family, so we had Christmas with them on Sunday. Again, completely spoiled.
We honestly have the best parents ever!
And I didn't get a single photo.
Figures.

Christmas Eve

I don't know why I didn't get a picture of the actual food, it was delicious as always.
King crab legs...Roast...Garlic Mashed Potatoes...Ham...Veggies...Homemade Rolls...Salad...

This year it ended in the Casita.
She always hand makes something for each child, and then of course some presents.
I didn't get any pictures.
My camera died.

Gingerbread houses

or Fortresses....
I haven't made a gingerbread house in forever.
(actually I don't remember ever making one)
I was determined to make one this year. I thought Eliza would enjoy it too.
Well it was a lot of work- and time-and Eliza didn't love it.

All she wanted to do was eat the candy... obviously.

Sparkles
We took Eliza out to see the "Sparkles"

Then we walked around the Temple and Visitors' Center.
She couldn't get enough of the animals in the Nativity.
