Eliza
Twenty One Months
Here is my attempt at remembering how amazing Eliza is right now...
She was potty trained at 20 months: It took a day and a half to get the wetness down. She caught on so fast it blew me away. It took a little longer for the stinky.. She was so scared to poop on the potty. She knew when she had to go and she would tell me- but when I sat her on the toilet she would cry and cry and say yucka! Yucka! She finally got it on day 6. She has been great ever since. A couple accidents here and there when Mommy isn't listening- but overall I'm amazed!
She's talking in sentences: And they are funny ones! Last night I was making dinner and I couldn't see what she was doing so I said "Eliza- what are you doing?". She said: "I pickin my nose." She likes to add "Me" on the end of sentences. "I watch show...me, Please." "Mommy! Blanky... Me... Please". "I go walk.. Me." "I help you.. me." It's pretty much adorable.
She is eating a little better: She ate chicken the other night. Her first meat. It was a major break through!!
She's been taking swimming lessons: She was young compared to the others- but it was soooo good for her! I was a little worried because we had to take the cast off of her lessons but she seemed just fine and she did really well. I can't believe how quickly they learn. (and how long she can hold her breath) I'm glad I wasn't doing the dunking- I couldn't.
Her new favorite word: MOM!!!! Mom! Mom! Mommy! Mom! Mommy! (repeated 28 times) No matter how many times I say what- it goes on and on and on! Sometimes it's Mommy! Birdie! Mommy! Birdie! (or horsie or dolly or duck or whatever... repeated 28 times) It's funny but not always funny...
She loves hiding: She's pretty good at it too.
She loves building huts: Thanks to her Daddy.
Her most embarrassing public word: "Frog".. Believe me.. it does not sound like frog. There is no "r" and the g is pronounced with a very crisp- "ck"-- The first time it happened she was in one of her repeat a million times modes. I was panicking trying to figure out what she was saying and why it sounded like that and why wouldn't she stop???? Finally figured out there was a frog statue a few feet away. Ever since then it's happened WAY more than you would think.
* Hiking in red cliffs... frogs
* Statues in Zion... frogs
* In the pool at swimming lessons... frogs
* On her jammies...
* In her books...
* At Sand Hallow...
Now we just laugh along with all the strangers who hear her yelling at the top of her lungs over and over and over again...
Her hair is just getting curlier. When I brush it when it's wet it's almost to her shoulders. I love the curls though- LOVE them. I hope they stick around.
She loves her baby. Feeds her.. walks her.. rocks her... puts her to bed.
She's still tiny. 21 lbs with all her clothes on. 12-18 month clothing. 3T hats. Yep- her head is still huge.
I am LOVING this stage. She's interactive- entertaining- she listens- enjoys movies- helps me "get things"- cuddly- lovey- and no more stinky diapers.
LOVE it.

I am so behind on blog posts I just needed to unload some photos so I can actually do a real post-
