PuMpKiNs

Last night Craig and I had our own little HaLlOwEeN party. We got Carmel Apple suckers... Pizza... Cookies..... and we had a PuMpKiN CaRvInG contest. (Which is KIND OF a big deal.) We each got two pumpkins and a carving kit. We finally got started. We were very careful not to give away what we were each doing.... because this... was a CoMpEtItIoN. When it came time to reveal our first pumpkin... guess what we discovered........We both had the same idea...

Deer Hunt

Well- this last weekend I had my first hunting experience... and I actually loved it! We met Craig's family up at Mount Dutton. It was so nice to take a few days off of work and just relax with the family. Craig's mom makes the best dutch-oven dinners and desserts- so of course we ate a ton. But I really surprised myself by how much I really liked it! I went out with the boys pretty much every time. It was a blast. I didn't want to come home!

Craig is so amazing with his nephews. I love watching him with them. I have never seen anything like it. He is going to be the most amazing daddy ever. Someday.
This sign and dirt road are actually a pretty significant part of Me and Craig's little vacation. Since we both worked on Friday- we didn't get to leave with the rest of the fam. We headed out for our "3 hour" drive- which ended up being a 6 hour adventure. So to make a long story short- we took a wrong turn (We took the Mt. Dutton turn off). Which happened to be the scariest, steepest, rockiest dirt road ever. We drove on this "fourwheeler" trail in a beater car that we had borrowed... for about 13 miles up to the top of Mt. Dutton... looking for this "turn off" where the family was camping.... well obviously it never came. So we took the hour drive back down the mountain to see if we missed it. We didn't have service so we had to drive a few towns back where we had little flicks of service. We finally got a hold of Kelly- and in our broken up conversation told her to meet us in Anamony right as my phone died. Hoping she had heard us- we headed back to Anamony. With still no sign of them- we stopped at an old gas station (these towns are seriously in the middle of nowhere). We were trying to use the payphone in the dark- when a truck pulled up. Wow what a relief. We were preparing to sleep in the car- and hopefully not freeze to death! But Kelly and Jeff saved us! We followed them to camp- which was actually a completely different direction. We were soooo off! We pulled into camp around 11:30p.m..... only 3 hours late!

Sunday Fun

On Sunday Craig and I decided to go up by Enterprise and go fourwheeling! With the change in weather- I was so excited to go up and be in the mountains! Of course Craig's motive was to scope out some big bucks for the hunt this weekend- and since I'm new at the this "hunting" thing- I was DETERMINED to see something. I even made him bring my own binoculars. It ended up being soooo much fun! Craig's parents came- and it was so fun to spend some time with them. This first picture is so funny to me. I felt so over-dressed... Craig made me put so many layers on- I thought he was crazy. I'm so glad he did though- because it was seriously soooooooooooo cold! I told Craig that I felt like a little kid in snow clothes. I could barely move! (Hence the ridiculous pictures...)

After we saw some huge bucks go over the top of this mountain- Craig decided we needed to get to the other side of it so we could take a better look. As we're making our way through this rocky mountain side- we came into this clearing where there was this grassy area- with a stream going through it- and a huge beautiful tree. I was so amazed because it seemed so out of place! I told him we needed to stop and take a picture. As soon as we stopped we noticed there was a rope swing on the tree! The weirdest part of this- is that we were literally in the middle of nowhere! Even though we were freezing to death- we had to take a second and enjoy this amazing spot.... and of course- take some pictures!

This was our final destination.... Pinto. This place was amazing! I can't believe people actually live here! This town is literally in the middle of nowhere-

Isn't this Ice Awesome??

I actually found a house that I think I really could live in- even if it was in Pinto.
I think it's beautiful!

Le Mis..

This last weekend I was lucky enough to go to Le Miserables.. and see my Best Friend play Eponine! It was sooooo amazing. She is so beautiful and talented and I am so lucky to have her in my life! I felt like a proud mother watching her up there. Right before she came on- I knew her part was coming up- and I was SO nervous! My heart was pounding and I got all hot- There was no need though- she was awesome! She blew us all away with her voice! I am so proud of her!!!My good friend Ashlee drove down from Provo to show her support to Jaime and it was so fun seeing her! I miss her so much! It was quite an adventure since it rained through the whole play- and then turned into a down pour the last 20 minutes! It was so crazy because it actually seemed like the storm came at the climax of the story- and it made it that much more powerful! So the rain explains these soaking wet pictures of us. It was wet and cold and totally worth it!
