Day 1
Saturday is always a long day- but this year it was even longer than usual. We drove to Vegas, Flew to Dallas, then finally to Cabo.
Eliza was pretty much and Angel the whole time.
(I wish!)
We arrived at our hotel at about 9:00 p.m. (way later than usual).
We started our trip off right:
We had just got to the hotel. My Dad was checking everybody in. We were all exhausted. I watched in slow motion as Eliza tripped on the uneven rock surface and face planted onto a sharp rock. I heard her forehead hit and fully expected a gash with Mexican stitches. I finally got to her and inspected the damage. It was already sticking straight out but no broken skin. Just swollen the size of a (large) gumball. It swelled so fast I was praying the skin wouldn't break. Luckily it didn't. But she got to sport a huge black bruise the rest of the trip.

If I was thinking straight I would have taken a picture that night.
Obviously I wasn't...

Day 2
Already? Time goes by so fast.
Sacrament meeting at 10:00 a.m.
Walmart for a weeks supply of diapers/snacks/baby lunches/etc..
Craig and I ended up having to switch rooms that afternoon. So after packing up- hauling luggage and groceries to another room and unpacking- it was already time for dinner!
(no pool time... ugh!)

Every night we walk back along the docks and hit DQ for some dessert.

Craig (usually) goes fishing every morning before the sun comes up. We always go out to see him when Eliza wakes up.
No luck this year...

Day 3

Happy Valentines Day!!!
I have to say- I'm not a big V-day fan!
I've always been in Cabo with my family for as long as I can remember- so maybe that's why?
We never do anything special other than BEING IN CABO!!! That's enough for us.
This year I did bring a Valentine for my little lover-bug.

Day 4
Surf Beach

Some of us spent the day at a surf beach about 30 minutes up the coast.

I was sooooo relieved that Eliza was taking naps. She rarely sleeps anywhere other than a bed. It must have been the relaxing sound of the ocean and the warm weather.
We were in heaven...

Cousins love taking care of us!!!

That night we had dinner at Salvatori's.
No pictures I guess... But the food was delish- as always.
It's the family favorite.

Day 5
Happy Birthday Grandma!!!
We always celebrate by going to Mama's Cafe.
Yum!!!

Dinner at Mi Casa.
We usually celebrate my Mom's Birthday here because it's such a fun atmosphere. The kids can be loud and obnoxious and nobody even notices!

Day 6
Breakfast in Bed-
and a day at the beach...

Taking a water taxi over to The Office to spend the afternoon.

It's always so wild and crazy on the main beach. This particular day we went out the door without checking how many cruise ships were in...
Three. 3 ships in the harbor.
It was insane. We could only take a couple hours of the madness!
We escaped and spend the rest of the day at the quiet pool.

This was by far our favorite night.
It's Taco night!

The boys go to our favorite taco stand and get the best tacos in the world-
and bring it to the hotel.
We played on the beach, watched the sun set, ate a wonderful dinner, and the best part?
We didn't have to get ready!!!

(at least I didn't)

Day 7
How depressing.
Me, Craig, and Eliza had one more breakfast at Mama's, then spent the rest of the day laying by the pool.

Dinner at Hacienda Cocina.
This hotel is beautiful and the restaurant was delicious.

It was soooo nice to have Tyson around again.
2 years is long.

We watched the sun set as we ate, then walked home along the docks.
It was the perfect ending to the perfect trip.

Day 8
One last sun rise.

We left Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
Delayed flights- Missed flights- Full flights- 4 hours in a Dallas Hotel- No sleep- The flu-
and we finally made it home- Sunday evening.

Next time I'm driving.
(not in real life though)

{19 Months}

20 Pounds 10 Ounces- 5th percentile

(I was so thrown off by her weight that I didn't pay attention to height)

My baby is such a big girl!
She loves to color in her coloring books.
She is still a picky eater.
She is still small- But her Dr. says she's doing great.
She loves to dance- She dances all day long.
She is starting to become a little stinker. When I say no- she throws a fit.
(I'm not loving this new thing- but I hear I need to get used to it!)
For the most part she's still my little angel.
We have been loving the weather lately. We go outside everyday to get our much needed Vitamin D! I just need 5 more degrees and then it'll be just perfect!
Her hair is actually growing! I can do pig tails and one high pony (which only lasts about 3 hours...but still... I'm loving it!)
She is a little talker- I understand what she's saying for the most part.
She has moved on from Mary Poppins (thank goodness)
We're on to "Move it Move it" (Madagascar 2), and Zoe's dance moves.
She watched The Wizard of Oz the other day and actually sat through most of it.
She's wearing 12-18 month clothing.
She has had some major bonks (see photos)
She has to have her purse and "kitty kitty" with her at all times.
She does something new and amazing every day.

I have no idea how to edit my youtube videos... so sorry they go on and on and on...
But you just have to see for yourself how cool my Eliza is... ;-)

The rump shaker. I have not been able to get this on film very often.
It comes out of nowhere.
She just throws it into the mix once and awhile- it always gets a good laugh!

I keep saying I'm going to post video of her doing her "Zoe's Dance Moves".
Every time I get the video camera out she doesn't make it through the whole thing.
So frustrating.
So I have bits and pieces- but have yet to capture the entire dance on video.

We celebrated Craig's 29th (can you say geezer) Birthday
by going to Benja's with some family members.

Every time we go to Benja's with our little sweetness-
We always promise next time we'll leave her with a grandma
so we can actually enjoy our favorite place.
Some people just never learn...

We came back to the house for presents and cake.

She loved it as much as I did...

January 27th, 2011
We celebrated my 29th Birthday 3 days later...
Yep I'm a whole 3 days younger than the old geezer I married.
We were going to spend the evening somewhere totally exotic-
(probably Tahiti, or Hawaii, or Silver Reef, UT)
but Eliza ended up being sick and I didn't want to leave her long.
So we spend and exotic hour at Pancho and Lefty's then went home to our sick baby.
Not even one picture...

But it was a great Birthday week and we were both totally spoiled.
Craig blows me away every year. Just when I think he has no clue what he's doing, he pulls something out of nowhere and completely surprises me with something amazing and thoughtful.
I know everybody always says this- but I am seriously
