Camping Season
Is here again...

We just couldn't wait any longer to break out the trailer and head up the mountain. I love this time of year.

We're always complaining about our camping spots to the boys. We're usually on some kind of hunt In the middle of a dust bowl Where there are no pines and no streams. Which is all I ever ask for. Nothing but good food, and good company. (Which is enough... but we just want a little more)

After a busy busy weekend- I just wanted a relaxing Mother's Day. Breakfast at the King's. Dinner at the Facer's. It was a perfect "first" Mother's Day.

May 8 Nine Months
I can't believe Eliza is 9 months old. She is the most amazing thing ever invented.
She is busy busy busy! She goes from one thing the the next in a matter of seconds. It keeps me on my toes- constantly!
She's in 6-12 month clothing, but they're still a little big. Her 9 month dr. appointment is next week. I can't wait to get her stats.
She copies everything we do... and I mean everything. If we make any noise- she tries to make the same one. If we sing- she starts "singing" too (which is seriously- the cutest). If Craig clears his throat- she spends the next 5 minutes growling and grunting- trying to make the same sound. When we laugh- she laughs.
She still loves her blanky and her thumb.
She knows the entire "Patty Cake" song now... she claps, rolls, and tosses- and she is so proud of herself. So are we.
She still has 2 teeth- but I think a third one is coming any day now. She wears size 3 diapers. She loves her grandma's. She had figured out how to climb stairs- which is so not cool. She's obsessed with cords... along with outlets, books, dvd's, magazines, shoes, basically everything she can get her hands on.
Her favorite place to go is under the kitchen table. She just hangs out under there. Whatever floats her boat!
When she's in front of a mirror- she does this... and it's hilarious
It's impossible for me to get a picture of this girl smiling... She is just not smiley! We can make her laugh- but it takes some serious skill. We just have a very "serious" baby- what's wrong with that??? She does do this old lady smile...
She has started walking with a walker... And yes... that's her old lady smile- again.
We also have a very good/easy baby! It's all we hear! "You have such a good baby", "Oh, she is so easy". We hear it from friends, family, and strangers. Eliza sleeps 12-13 hours a night, she has 2 naps a day, and she eats 3 meals a day (with a fourth feeding at night). She only cries if she really really needs something. She puts herself to sleep- all we do is lay her down. She is the sweetest thing! Our secret? It's not a secret- it's just "On Becoming Baby Wise". It's all we did. And I was a Nazi Baby Wise mom- but it seriously paid off!
Ok that's our 9 month old baby girl in a nutshell. We love her so much!
May 8 A Wedding: Cory & Angie
Cory and Angie sealed the deal! Their sealing was beautiful. The day was perfect. And we are so happy for them!

Ironman
Craig had to work, so Eliza and I went to the Ivin's "fitness fair" with my parents. While we were there we cheered on the bikers- which was seriously amazing! Later that evening Craig and I sat outside our house and watched all the runners go up and down diagonal. Soooo inspirational!!

Laguna Beach
{April 22-25}
Thursday While loading the car so we can hit the road- Craig was inside doing.... something?
Yes... that is my child... but at first glance I thought... what is wrong with her???? Then quickly realized- mine is the one in the BOYS outfit. Craig thought it was funny- we all did. We definitely got a good laugh.
The babies did awesome on the way down. We stopped in Rancho to get our Cheesecake Factory fix and take a break from the car. We got into Laguna just as the sun was going down. It was beautiful.
Friday
Donuts for breakfast. Walk on the beach.
We went to Gina's for lunch then just shopped around Laguna. It was a big night...Angels/Yankees Eliza's first Angel's game! Of course Papa Facer has given Eliza plenty of Angels attire
Ready to go! Dinner at Houston's first. And what would be a night out at a fancy restaurant, without an explosion out the diaper? And guess who didn't bring an extra outfit? I'm so prepared...

We only lasted until about 9:00 Babies were way past their bedtimes!
Saturday Shopping day! Kelly and I went to The Spectrum to shop! I miss the shopping and food and friends in CA sooooo much! But I got it all in. The foursome was back together once again! I miss my girls...

Sunday We got up and left early. This time we took our break at Buffalo Bill's. The boys did the roller coaster, I decided I had already done it 2 too many times.

Eliza had her first taste of ice cream. Although she has of course had Spoon Me (frozen yogurt) But at least it's healthy! But ice cream?? Yuck!
