2 Weeks old!

2 Weeks and 2 days
I cannot believe it has already been two weeks! Where does the time go? I feel like there are just not enough hours in the day. Between feedings, changings, feedings, dressings, feedings, tantrums, and feedings (I seriously feel like a cow), I just have no time left. Craig and I are trying to get used to our sleepless nights... but we're loving every day we have with our princess! There are a few things we need to remember...

2 week Stats: 8 lb 7 oz, 21 in.

1. Dr. Kaddu says "She is bigger than what is expected"- (she's a good eater)
2. She's had 2 super good nights... and 14 really bad ones
3. She smiles in her sleep
4. We have tried Mylicon, Gripe water, and acidophalus for her colic
5. She's an angel during the day
6. I have developed Dequervain's Syndrome (Which means I can barely move my wrists...
which means I can barely pick up Eliza...
which is KILLING me!
7. We had the "Big Birthday Bash" for all the August birthdays in our family
8. Her belly-button cord took 14 days to fall off- she finally got her first bath!!!
9. She only sleeps on her side or her belly- she hates her back
10. She burps like a grown man... it's pretty amazing

We are so in love with her little noises and her funny faces- along with everything else she brings into our lives.

She is ADORABLE!! Seriously she is such a pretty baby. Avery had colic too and actually it was so bad!! She would start crying at 4 in the afternoon and it would go until like 10 it was awful and none of those things helped either. Finally, the doctor gave her a prescription for levsin drops. So if it doesn't get better, maybe you could ask your Dr. about it. It was a miracle drug for us.

Congratulations Britta! You were so cute pregnant you could totally get away with being OVER due!
Glad she is here, safe and sound. I have had both my babies by c-section. I feel you on the scared, freaking out thing. Mine was an emergency c-section with Gabby.
Hope you're having a speedy recovery!

Britta!!! YAY! I am so proud/excited for you and craig! Congrats! She is a doll. As soon as we can get to St. George we'll come visit! I'm glad you're doing good....and yes the sleep thing will get better! But try to get use to the lack of sleep...haha, I guess you could say i've had to. Bodey still wakes up most nights :( Oh let the good times roll!!! Aren't babies the best thing EVER!?

Hey Britta, Your daughter is beautiful! Congrats! The crying can be so hard! I know every baby is different but wanted to offer a suggestion. We learned our baby girl had a little bit of acid reflux (we were told this is fairly common with infants) which made her cry. She's on ranitidine now and it made a huge difference. You may also want to try bouncing with her on a yoga/exercise ball. This was a life saver for us! I feel for you! Good luck!
